The Wimbledon Branch is led by long-time Wellbeing of Women supporter Moji Walmsley. With strong links to the community in Wimbledon the branch also support a number of London Events and liaise with the London Events Committee in planning their programme.

The Northern Ireland Branch are one of our most successful branches at raising funds for the charity. They are very creative in their ideas for fundraising and have a varied programme of events as well as other fundraising initiatives.
Every other year they hold a ball and in 2008 this was a truly spectacular occasion on the theme of a Masquerade Ball over 400 guests filled the Culloden Hotel and were entertained by the Circus School and the Ulster Orchestra before dinner, the 'Three Tenors' during dinner and finally Otis and the Elevators when the dancing commenced.

The Wealden Branch are a very active and friendly branch, frequently liaising with the other volunteer branches in the South East and often supporting events in London. They regularly field a team of runners for the Adidas 5k Women's Challenge in Hyde Park (this year it will be held on 5th September).

The South Hampshire Branch are based around the Romsey, Eastleigh, Chandlers Ford area of Hampshire and are a very active branch running a number of fundraising events throughout the year. They have had a series of Lilac Lunches and hold an golf day every year. The branch have most recently held their own very successful LK Bennett shopping evening.

The Sheffield Branch was the first branch ever established for Wellbeing of Women (way back in the days when the charity was called Birthright). The wonderful committee not only raise funds and awareness for the charity but also provide us with a helpful link to its past history, recently unearthing some beautiful programmes for events attended by Diana, Princess of Wales during the time she was the charity's patron.
read moreThe Scarborough Branch - Following the very big-blow of losing their treasurer to Ovarian cancer at the end of 2007, the branch has bounced back with renewed energy, even more determined to raise funds for Wellbeing of Women. They recently held a Chick Flick night at the Stephen Joseph Theatre themed around the film 'Sex and The City'.

The North Yorkshire Branch are based around York and Selby and are a great example of a branch prepared to try new things! In 2008 one of their branch members chose to skydive for the Charity, the rest of the branch sensibly helped out with a slightly less strenuous fundraising lunch. In 2007 they held a ladies lunch with one of the original 'Calendar Girls' - Tricia Steward - who shared her experiences of raising money for charity.
The branch have most recently held their own wine tasting evening, in a beautiful medieval hall in York, with a live harpist to accompany. Deborah our Comms Team Manager was thrilled to attend and to meet many of the local supporters.
The Lincoln Branch offer much more than events. Their secretary Ruth Lamb is an expert in pelvic floor exercises and has spoken for the charity both at the WoW Show in 2008 and during the Always Envive Incontinence campaign in spring of 2009.

The Kelso Branch is 30 years old this year and have raised many thousands of pounds for the charity over that time.

The Great Yarmouth Branch are a very active branch holding events throughout the year. They also proudly have our oldest volunteer amongst their members - she is over 90 and still very active. Great Yarmouth have a regular fixture of women's lunches with guest speakers in 2008 they managed two, with both Penny Vincenzi and Eve Pollard speaking. On May 13th Janet Ellis spoke at the 2009 lunch. For more information on the branch's programme of events see below.

The Edinburgh Branch are a lively branch with a strong committee and a good programme of events. Beyond events they also fly the flag for Wellbeing of Women in Scotland and help the head office in a number of ways. For the last two years they have held a very successful Purple Lunch with Sarah Brown as guest speaker in 2008 and Eve Pollard (our Vice-Chair) speaking in 2009.

The East Riding Branch are based around Cottingham, Beverley and Hull and hold a number of events throughout the year. For example last year they had 'Tea at the Old Rectory' (their chairman's home) where guests were treated to a glass of bubbly followed by a cream tea and a wander round the gardens.
read moreThe East Hants Branch are one of our highest fundraising branches, their signature event the Farleigh Wallop Craft & Garden Fair has become such a by-word for excellence amongst enthusiastic gardeners that it has even featured in the Saturday Telegraph magazine! But the branch do much more than just gardening and some information on a typical programme of events is given below.
The Craft and Garden Fair took place on 6th May 2010, and was as ever a fantastically successful event. With the return of expert Sarah Raven, who gave an exclusive lecture on the 'vegetable garden', there was also an exceptional range of specialist stalls for all things for the garden and home. The Cambridge Branch have held a number of small events over the last few years and have also been helpful in creating and fostering contacts with the local business and educational communities in Cambridge itself.
The branch recently held a very successful LK Bennett shopping evening, and also a fantastic lunch on the 1st March 2010 with guest speaker Eve Pollard - which completely sold out! Local sponsorship, press coverage and support from local women's networks helped to make the event a great success.

Brighton & Hove Branch are a friendly, active branch who run a number of events throughout the year. Not all the events are open to the general public and are often held in the homes of the branch members.

The Birmingham fundraising group has two new co-chairs linking the local community and the Birmingham Women's Hospital. The group works actively within the local community and also with staff at head office supporting our work by linking us to businesses and organisations in the Midlands.

The Nottingham Branch is run by Halimah Khaled who tirelessly works for Wellbeing of Women, raising both money and awareness. In 2008 she won the Boots Community Hero Award for the work that she does for the charity. In 2009 she held her annual Valentine's Ball, a fashion show and her annual garden party. Halimah also took part in the Adidas 5k Women's Challenge with the rest of the WoW Team on 6th September.
2010 began with a Strictly Come Dancing Ball, where guests enjoyed an evening of entertainment, great food and dancing. This year's ball was partly sponsored by local BMI The Park Hospital, and received support from Boots Store Services Centre Inbound from a sale of discontinued stock. The event raised over £4,500 a great achievement!
