Rachel Guest, Imperial College School of Medicine, London, was awarded £1,000 for a medical elective to spend two months at the University of Zambia and Monze Mission Hospital, Zambia. Her project will be looking at the impact that vesico-vaginal fistulae repair is having on the health system in Zambia and may provide useful information which may benefit the way resources are allocated to this treatment in the future.
