Wellbeing of Women funds much-needed research into crucial female health issues including miscarriage, stillbirth, gynaecological cancers, endometriosis, menopause and urinary incontinence.
We remain one of the very few sources of funding for these areas.
We raise money to fund medical research:
We have a reputation for selecting only the best possible projects for medical research and funding and have been awarded a 'Certificate of Best Practice in Medical Health Peer Review' by the AMRC.
We have been funding research since 1964 and helped develop many of the women’s health services that are now taken for granted including: foetal scanning, IVF, vitamin supplements during pregnancy and cervical cancer screening.
We raise money to fund research training:
We award special scholarships to help train and develop obstetricians, gynaecologists, midwives and nurses. Find out more about our Research Grants.
We provide health information to women:
Wellbeing of Women hosts regular discussion evenings with top obstetricians and gynaecologists - Events
We also have special events with both celebrity ambassadors and inspiring guest speakers - Events
Much of our work is publicised and debated in the national press to help raise awareness of women’s health issues.
Finally, we seek to educate women about their health in our special discussion evenings, through bespoke PR campaigns and on this website - Your Wellbeing
